We as a family always believed that “one life time is more than sufficient to make the best out of our strengths, while one life time remains grossly insufficient to overcome all our weaknesses”.
So the idea was to find something that has convergence of strengths from all key quarters that gives us the opportunity to make a difference for the better for many and earn happiness, satisfaction and value for effort from it.
This thinking was there in the back of our mind since 2006, being a successful home stay host was one of the several items we were thinking since then. While we kept working in the background, using every opportunity available to equip ourselves to run a home stay well, we were also keenly waiting how convergences of strengths emerge in this area over time. We saw the convergence of following strengths emerging in 2016, hence decided start Sampada Homestay.
Sampada Home stay is just 4 Kilometers west of Majestic the central hub of Bangalore. Being extremely close to Rail and Bus stations makes it easier for travelers to conveniently reach Sampada. Sampada is also very close to the six lane road that leads to Airport.
In Bangalore even 1 kilometer distance can feel like 10 kilometers especially at the central high traffic zones. The starting of metro services from the basements of bus and rail stations and presence 3 metro stations in both green and purple lines within 2 kilometers of relatively low traffic zones has connected Sampada Homestay to all parts of Bangalore with relative ease. As Sampada Homestay is tagged in Google Maps reaching it from almost anywhere is easy.

Sampada Homestay is home away from home and not a mere bedroom to sleep. There is ample room and opportunity to stretch ones legs, cook, space for pets and parking as well.
Although we are new to running Homestay’s on our own, we have been closely watching and learning this industry segment for over a decade now.
With Shashank coming out of college and keen to run the Homestay, now we have the much needed bandwidth to run it as well.

He is Tec savvy, Foodie who is fond of traveling places. Even at this young age, he has 10+ years’ hands on experience of using short term transit accommodations of all types across the globe and has critically examined them from the requirement perspective of the younger generation of today.
A mechanical engineer, with a 30+ years of global experience in the field of Manufacturing, Technology (Software) and Business process outsourcing. Has extensively travelled across the globe and had been a road warrior for many years in the past, finally opting to retire and focus on other things he always wanted to do in life. Astrology and leisure industry are his current interests and harbor a dream of adding rural agricultural based interests to his portfolio in the near future. Years of hands on experience of using short term transit accommodations of all types across the globe during family vacations as well as business trips and the keen observations of systems and processes that work behind delivering consistent great stay experiences is what he brings on the table for Sampada Homestay.
A graduate in computer science, with 20+ years of excellent home maker’s experience excelling in cooking, decoration and being an adorable host is what she brings on the table for Sampada Homestay. She has also traveled extensively both within India and abroad mostly on family vacations and has hands on experience of using short term transit accommodations of all types across the globe. Displaying traditional as well as theme based contemporary dolls during Dussehra festivities is her other interest, wherein she has won many laurels and prizes.
